Crafted in our own workshop using traditional techniques, this beautiful ring has been thoughtfully designed to be cherished for a lifetime. At its centre sits a natural padparascha sapphire, chosen for its exceptional quality and distinctive colour. Personally selected by Sam during his trip to Madagascar - a locality known for its vast array of fancy coloured sapphires - the stone has been responsibly and ethically sourced.
Padparadscha sapphires are among the rarest and most coveted of all sapphires, prized for their extraordinary blend of pink and orange tones. Their colour sits somewhere between a tropical sunset and the delicate centre of a lotus blossom, often shifting between blush pink, peach, apricot and soft salmon depending on the light.
This particular padparadscha has an ethereal glow to it, its soft pastel orange-pink hue feels very fresh and airy. Marquise-cut to show off the range of tones and hues of the sapphire, this cut also has an elongating effect on the finger which is very flattering. Claw-set in an open-back setting, flanked by two pear-cut diamonds both set east-to-west. The natural diamonds have been perfectly matched in colour and clarity; D/E, VVS.
The gallery is open and lightly raised to ensure a wedding band can fit neatly along side it. The shoulders elegantly taper to a solid band which comfortably conforms to the finger. The yellow gold is 14ct - our favourite alloy for its durability and soft tone - and the ring has been hallmarked at Sheffield Assay Office.
Preserving heritage by keeping traditional techniques and tastes alive.
