Echoing the spirit of the Sport Auto, the Classic Auto Horizon carries forward the same robust LF270.01 automatic calibre with a platinum micro-rotor. This shared heart underlines the connection between sportiness and elegance within the LAURENT FERRIER universe. Now enhanced with a date complication and designed for everyday resilience, this watch is a poised companion for those who value understated excellence.
The 40mm stainless steel case retains the pebble-smooth silhouette that defines the Classic collection—a direct nod to the 19th-century pocket watches that inspired it. With a rounded profile and polished surfaces, the case feels both contemporary and timeless. It’s designed not just to impress but to endure.

Where the Classic Auto Horizon truly stands apart is its dial. A subtle yet profound shade of translucent blue lacquer evokes open skies, applied over a silver galvanic base. Vertical satin-brushing in the centre suggests the expansive lines of a horizon, while a circular satin finish around the outer track grounds the composition with structure and reliability.
The date aperture at 3 o’clock is particularly well executed—sharp, sloped, and clearly legible. Framed in dark blue with a slate grey numeral on a white disc, it reflects the Maison's commitment to clarity and harmony. Drop-shaped indices and Assegai-shaped hands in polished white gold, a hallmark of the brand, round out the visual experience.
