Original to c.1880, this Victorian emerald and diamond three-stone ring is the closest thing to perfection. Set to centre with a natural emerald of outstanding quality with the a rich and luscious depth of colour. Its certified natural and Colombian in origin, the source of the world's finest emeralds against which all other emeralds today are compared. This particular emerald has minor oil, making it a particularly rare and high quality gemstone. There is something irresistible about the stone, the intensity of its tropical green hue paired with its exceptional clarity and near flawless condition of its cut make this emerald a very special gemstone indeed.
Flanked by two round old-cut diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 2ct. Perfectly matched in colour and clarity, they have a distinctive warmth to them which is likely accentuated by the elegantly curving gold claws that secure them. These diamonds have been masterfully cut and exhibit a lively yet soft brilliance and fire which does not compete with the central emerald, but rather work to compliment it.
The gallery is no less remarkable than the gemstones that sit above it - ornately hand-carved into rich 18ct yellow gold, grand scrolling motifs curl and unfurl, leading to finely engraved shoulders which flow to a solid 18ct yellow gold band.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
