Antique African Trade Bead Strand of Awale or Awalleh Chevron Trade Beads. A nice necklace composed of Venetian Awale chevron glass trade beads from the late 1800’s. They are a light denim blue with red and dark blue stripes. These antique beads were handmade in Venice using traditional bead making techniques. The beads are 7-9mm in diameter and vary in length from 5-9mm in length.

This strand is ready to wear and enjoy, or could be used to make up your own creation! This strand of beads is on raffia and is 25 inches long. It can slip over your head. There are a few dings and chips on these antique beads, which add to their beauty and story. The strands will vary as each bead is unique.
