Original to c.1905 this sweet Edwardian five-stone features the most vibrant natural Colombian emeralds with round old-cut diamonds set in between. The emeralds have a stunning tropical green hue which feels very fresh and natural.
Set with three round old-cut diamonds, each hand-cut and with its own characteristic sparkle which gives these diamonds a soft and romantic glow which cannot be replicated today with laser cut stones. The arrangement of these gemstones as a five-stone ring was a very popular style during the Edwardian period and this one is certainly a lovely example of the era's craftsmanship. The stones are subtly graduated in size to give an elegant and flattering spread across the finger. All gemstones claw-set in open-back settings.
The gallery is delightful, hand carved with a scrolling foliate design which is exquisite and very typical of rings from the late Victorian era and into the early 20th century. The shoulders feature refined fluting detail and volutes, shoulders then gently taper into a solid 18ct yellow gold band.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
