The COBALT Health Air Chair Gel Bariatric comes with the same features and benefits as the Air Chair Classic, but with an increased seat width of 600mm and increased safe working load of 200kg to suit larger users. This offers improved ergonomic outcomes for these users. It also has a pressure relieving gel cushion built into the seat for added pressure relief, reducing the risk of pressure related injuries.

The Air Chair Gel Bariatric is specifically designed for use in high care environments where patients can be at risk of pressure sores and other pressure management issues. Our gel cushion cell in the seat area, combined with our soft foam system throughout the chair, provides excellent pressure relief. The Air Chair Gel Bariatric has been made with high density foam and strengthened air cushions to ensure a high quality of pressure care is provided for users.   It is highly adjustable, including armrests and extended head wings that can be lowered below seat height for side transfers, as well as backrest tilt, legrest tilt, tilt-in-space and adjustment for the height of the footrest pads.   Four large locking castors and rear push handles and controls mean that the Air Chair Bariatric can be easily pushed, adjusted and locked in place by carers.
