Auchentoshan Distillery Three Wood – Rich & Elegant

Auchentoshan Three Wood is one of the Lowland distillery’s best-known expressions and is distinguished by its triple maturation . After the classic triple distillation, this whisky is first matured in bourbon casks , followed by Oloroso sherry casks and a final maturation in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks . This gives it noticeably more depth and sweetness than the standard Auchentoshan style.

Flavor profile

• Nose: raisins, dried fruit, caramel, orange peel and light oak

• Taste: full and round, with toffee, dark chocolate, sherry sweetness and a soft spiciness

• Finish: medium to long, warm, slightly sweet with wood and cocoa
