Though discovered in an estate of sterling silver jewelry—and stamped "925" on the back of the design—this particular necklace thoroughly tests as silver plated copper.  We suggest enjoying the piece as costume fashion jewelry, removing it before bathing or swimming to best preserve the shiny silver plating.  Slight wear can be seen on the back of the pendant.
