The 1.20 carat gemstone is set in the centre flanked with two rows of round-cut diamonds, amounting to a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The rectangular cushion-cut aquamarine is secured with claws that are carefully worked into the setting and disguised by the design itself. The flank of diamonds on each side of the blue gemstone lead down to an open back-holing and pierced gallery that epitomises the design style of the time. The band tests as 18ct white gold. Circa 1960.
