A Traditional Japanese Mid-Century Style Opal & Diamond Ring

This beautifully reconditioned Japanese estate import is mounted with a Coober Pedy, Australian semi-crystal opal. The opal softly plays with colors of green and orange alongside additional colors of yellow, blue, and purple; when viewed in natural sunlight, the translucent, jelly-like edges of the stone's body glow a red color. 0.15 carat total of sparkling diamonds accent the top of the platinum ring, and intricate filigree designs decorate the bottom of the ring's gallery.

Several minute eye-visible chips can be seen along the bottom of the opal's edge; these have been professionally repolished and may be the result of wear, but they may also have been intentionally left over when the opal was cut.
