This mouthpiece is therefore ideal for horses that do not tolerate conventionally shaped bits because of the pressure on the tongue and react with head banging or similar. The thigh snaffle lies very quietly and stably in the mouth. It provides reliable lateral restraint without the danger of pinching the skin and chaps due to the angled bars.
