Provenance

Art Deco emerald and diamond three-stone ring, c.1920. Set to centre with a natural square-shaped step-cut emerald. Flanked by two round old-cut diamonds, set in open-back claw settings, to a gallery that has a crown-like design formed by linear openwork, to shoulders that subtly taper to a solid 18ct yellow gold band.

• Emerald size: Length 4.3mm; Width 4.3mm; Depth 3.5mm
• Total diamond weight: 0.12ct; Two round old-cut diamonds.

The Band

• Metal Composition: 18ct yellow gold and platinum.
• Hallmarks: Marked with '18CT & PLAT' indicating 18ct yellow gold and platinum. Further marked with 'SB & S Ltd' maker's mark for Solomon Blanckensee & Sons Ltd registered to Frederick Street in Birmingham.
