An unusual pair of what appears to be custom-assembled opal triplet studs, these triangle shaped opal earrings are cast from solid 18k yellow gold.  Rescued from a lot of gold treasures ready to be melted, these found their way into our collection and have been professionally reconditioned by our jeweler.  The two, differently sized 6mm+ round opal triplets resemble extra fine Lightning Ridge black opal, with brilliant green-multicolor fire playing over black N3 and N4 body tones.  An eye-visible gap can be seen between the smaller of the two round opal triplets and its bezel; the stone is securely set by epoxy.

The friction-back (push-back) posts are each stamped "750" to mark their 18 karat purity.  The backs themselves are not stamped but thoroughly test as 18k gold.
