Art Deco era British medal or fob. It is hand engraved on both sides. It is round with beautiful scrolling details. The medal was made in Birmingham, England by the H W Plate Manufacturing Co and dates to 1929. There is not a lot of information about this firm of silversmiths and their mark is rarely seen. Founded in 1928 they had a short life and seem to have ceased operations by the mid 1930s. Condition is very good, with no dings or dents. It has a bail and is ready to hang on a charm bracelet, necklace or pocket watch chain.
