San Angelo's Sheep Herders took the diamond in the West Texas League during the late 1920s, playing ball in a town where ranching and baseball were equally sacred. Founded in 1929, the club carried the identity of the wool and mohair capital right onto the field. Small town teams like these were the soul of Texas baseball.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
