The Whistler 16-Year-Old El Misterioso is an exceptional single malt from the Boann Distillery, matured in bourbon casks and then refined for two years in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks . Palo Cortado is among the most mysterious and prestigious sherry types in the world – rarely available, rarely used, and always sought after by collectors.

This is the first release in the El Misterioso series, produced in a very limited edition and presented in a luxurious wooden box with a magnetic closure. A bottle that exudes class, made for connoisseurs.

📜 The Story – From Ireland to Andalusia

Boann Distillery embarked on a unique project: they wanted to create an Irish whiskey with the refinement of Andalusian sherry. For El Misterioso, they collaborated with bodegas in Jerez, where casks are selected that normally never leave the region. The Palo Cortado casks provide:

• the elegance of Amontillado

• the softness of Oloroso

• and its own mysterious touch that you won't find anywhere else

The result is a 16 year old whisky with deep layers , a marriage of Irish tradition and Spanish warmth.

Rich and inviting: orange zest, roasted almonds, toffee, dried figs, light spices and warm oak aromas.

Soft yet complex: honey, nutmeg, dark chocolate, caramel, hazelnut, orange and subtle sherry flavours.
