DESCRIPTION

Acetyl-Glutathione is a novel oral glutathione formulation that is stable in the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, well absorbed, and able to enter the cells directly and present to the cytosol for mitochondrial entry.

In one study, acetyl-glutathione compared favourably with intravenous glutathione.

Glutathione directly reacts with oxidants, and recycles other antioxidants back to their reduced forms, both endogenous antioxidants such as glutaredoxins, and exogenous antioxidants including vitamins C and E.

It serves as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidases, and is involved in the regulation of the nitric oxide cycle. Glutathione is important in liver and kidney detoxification processes, and glutathione levels are considered a key marker of immune status.

Glutathione is found throughout the body, and is concentrated in the liver and kidneys, as well as the lining of the lungs and intestines. It is the body’s major endogenous antioxidant, playing a central role in maintaining the redox state of every cell in the body

Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, 1 tablet two times daily on an empty stomach, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
