Our Grouper Bottom Rod was designed to fill a need in the market for a strong and durable rod for bottom fishing. The Snapper rod is more sensitive to be able to feel the subtle bite from a mutton, red, or mangrove snapper, but has enough lifting power to quickly receive your prized catch before the sharks do. The grouper was built with more power than sensitivity to help keep black, gag, and other groupers from getting the angler pinned in the rocks or reef. The Grouper Rod is a 7' 30-50 lb rated Bottom Rod. This rod is designed with durability and strength, allowing you to pull Grouper from any depth to the surface. A sensitive tip allows the angler to feel the bite and the lifting power keeps the fish from returning to the reef or wreck. Built with low-profile guides, a graphite reel seat, EVA fore and rear grips, and a rubber gimbal for comfort, this rod is perfect for bottom fishing.
