Original to c.1930, this Art Deco cocktail ring is nothing short of spectacular. I think its my favourite citrine I've ever seen! Every element of this ring is graceful, glamorous and exceptionally made.
Set to centre with a natural citrine weighing an impressive 6.08ct and boasting a deep amber-orange tones comparable to fine barrel-aged honey - rich, warm and beautifully complex. Under the light the stone truly comes to life, revealing fiery flashes of brighter tones and hues. Despite its large size, this citrine is quite literally crystal clear. Suitably emerald-cut to reflect the clean lines and geometry that lay at the heart of the Art Deco movement.
Claw-set and flanked by arched shoulders featuring refined geometric open-work that divides the three cushion old-mine cut diamonds that are set in each shoulder, six in total. The diamonds are grain set and the open-work is finished with delicate millegrain edging.
The gallery is a work of art in itself, formed by open-work with stepped geometric details and pleasing symmetry - it instantly evokes Art Deco architecture! Leading to shoulders which elegantly drop down to a solid platinum shank.
Made in America during the height of the Art Deco movement, this cocktail ring evokes the decadence of the era's speakeasies and secretive jazz clubs. Its striking presence and geometric elegance beautifully capture the glamour, modernity and quiet rebellion of the period.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
