This exquisite antique solitaire ring is set to centre an 0.18 carat old-cut diamond that is secured in an elevated beautifully detailed setting. Something I have never seen before! The claws forming the setting are carved with fleur-de-lis style work, finely detailed with black enamel once upon a time! Wonderfully intricate shoulders are decorated with ornate millegrain and carved details. The ring is marked '18' indicating 18ct yellow gold. An antiquated treasure, and a truly unusual choice for an engagement ring.
