An antique cluster ring. Claw-set with a cushion-cut yellow sapphire of impressive saturation amounting to a total of 4.50 carats. Encircling the yellow sapphire is a cluster of thirteen round-cut white sapphires amounting to a combined weight of 1.69 carats. Ornately carved shoulders, a pierced gallery and open back-holing finish the Victorian ring. Tests as 18ct yellow gold, circa 1880.
