All connections can be made either under the fuel tank, in the ECU box, or behind the instrument cluster. Configuration: You need to setup the module after installation. When the ignition is turned on, the display will count backwards (from 6 to 1) to indicate that the memory is clear. - Use the stand to lift the rear wheel off the ground and start. Put the engine in neutral. (If you don't have a stand, you can set up the unit while riding. Look for a long, straight road with little traffic.) - The display will flash "1". Select 1st gear, release the clutch, and maintain RPM above idle speed. The display will flash faster while the unit is learning the gears. - Select 2nd speed when "2" appears on the display. Repeat this process until all gears (5 or 6) have been considered. The unit is programmed and must indicate gear correctly. Now, when you turn on the ignition, the display will count forward (1-6) and indicate: be fully functional.
