Crafted in our own workshop using traditional techniques, this beautiful ring has been thoughtfully designed to be cherished for a lifetime of love and wear. Set to centre with a natural blue sapphire which has been re-purposed from a vintage necklace to make this stunning solitaire ring.
This sapphire is Sri Lankan in origin - a locality prized for its cornflower-blue sapphires with remarkable clarity - much like this stone here. It has a very fresh and bright liveliness to it and such an ethereal pastel hue. Pear-cut and weighing an impressive 5.12ct, this is an exceptional sapphire.
The sapphire is elegantly claw-set in an open-back setting which allows light to flood into the stone and illuminate it from within. An open gallery which is raised to ensure a wedding band is able to sit in flush. Very subtle shoulders with refined open-work, flow seamlessly to a solid gold D-shape shank.
The gold is 14ct yellow gold - our favourite alloy for its durability and soft tone - and the ring has been hallmarked in Sheffield Assay Office.
Preserving heritage by keeping traditional techniques and tastes alive.
