Breaching Type: Mechanical breaching only
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Course Intent

The Mechanical Breaching & SIM CQB Integration Course is a one-day, open-enrollment training event designed to introduce and develop students in mechanical breaching fundamentals and SIM/UTM-based structure work.

This course focuses on the safe, practical, and controlled application of mechanical breaching tools in a training environment, followed by SIM/UTM-based CQB scenarios that allow students to apply movement, communication, and post-breach entry concepts without live fire.

Students will work individually and in teams while learning how breaching fits into close-quarters problem solving, team movement, communication, and structure-based decision-making.

This course is designed for responsible civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel looking to build a stronger understanding of mechanical breaching and CQB integration in a controlled training environment.

Course Format

This is a SIM/UTM-only course.

There will be no live-fire training during this class.

All structure-based work will be conducted using SIM/UTM platforms, inert training weapons, or approved training weapons as directed by the instructors.

Mechanical breaching will be conducted using approved tools and training doors or designated breach points.

Safety Protocol

Safety is the priority for this course.

All students will receive a safety brief prior to training. Instructors will inspect weapons, gear, SIM/UTM equipment, and training areas before exercises begin.

Any student deemed unsafe in their handling, decision-making, muzzle awareness, communication, or overall conduct may be removed from training at instructor discretion.

KDS reserves the right to restrict, modify, or terminate participation for any student who fails to meet the safety standard.
