Brandon Williams won Forged in Fire on Season 5, Episode 35 of the History Channel's competition series. He has been making knives for over a decade under the 4B Outdoors name, and the Mini Snake River is one of his signature designs. These are individual, handmade fixed blades built one at a time in Brandon's USA shop. Each knife ships with a fitted Kydex sheath and a signed PR photo from Brandon. The Mini Snake River runs a 3.5" drop point blade in 1095 high carbon steel with a convex grind. The convex grind transitions from spine to edge without a flat secondary bevel, producing a blade that cuts with less resistance and holds its edge geometry through hard use. Brandon applies his own in-house heat treatment formula to dial in toughness and edge retention. Full tang construction throughout.

A Note on 1095 High Carbon Steel

1095 is a carbon steel, not stainless. After use, wipe the blade clean and dry. For storage, apply a thin coat of blade wax or camellia oil to the flat of the blade. Renaissance Wax is a trusted option, and purpose-made blade wax products work equally well. Thirty seconds of maintenance after use keeps 1095 performing and looking right for years. In humid conditions without care, surface rust will develop quickly. The steel is worth the habit.
