The Air Max 360 was the first time Nike used thermoforming in the manufacturing process, thermoforming is a manufacturing process where a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mould and trimmed to create a usable product. The One Time Only pack coincided with the release of Nike's innovative 360 sole unit. To celebrate this new technology Nike made a variety of hybrid models, placing different Air Max uppers on 360 sole units, as well as creating some playful takes on the 360 upper.
