A ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set with a natural, un-enhanced round-cut ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.76 carats. The ruby is framed by nine matching round-cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.54 carats. The carved, tapered shoulders lead to a simple pierced gallery. Tested 18ct yellow gold with a white gold setting, circa 1940.
