Operating Information

1. Check Battery: Ensure the meter is equipped with a 9 Volt battery.
2. Connect Electrodes: Connect the pH and EC electrodes to the instrument.
3. Remove Protective Cap: Take off the protective cap from the pH electrodes.
4. Power On: Press the on/off button to activate the meter.
5. Insert into Substrate/Liquid: Place the electrodes in the (soft) substrate or liquid to be measured. Ensure the substrate is adequately wet/damp for proper functioning.
6. Switch Temperature Units: Press the Temp button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
7. Switch Modes: Use the MODE button to cycle through pH, EC, TDS, and PPM measurements.
8. Hold Function: Press the HOLD button to save the measurement. Remember to press HOLD again to clear the hold function for the next use.
9. Turn Off: After use, press the on/off button to turn off the meter.
10. Rinse and Dry Electrodes: Rinse the pH and EC electrodes with tap water to minimize contamination. Gently dry the electrodes afterward.
11. Replace Caps: Replace the protective cap on the EC electrode. Fill the pH electrode's protective cap with storage solution and replace it.
