Original to c.1880, this Victorian three-stone is simply stunning. Set to centre with a round old-cut diamond in an open back claw setting, flanked by two slightly smaller cushion shape old-mine cut diamonds also in open back claw settings. Cut by hand nearly 150 years ago, no two antique diamonds are ever the same. Perfectly imperfect, each has its own charming and unique character. The claws have split prong detail and seamlessly flow into ornate scrolling motifs carved into the gallery below. Rings such as this were hugely popular in the late Victorian period and were the go-to engagement choice. The shoulders are engraved with subtle foliate detail and taper nicely to a solid 18ct gold shank. Quintessentially Victorian yet utterly timeless, this diamond three-stone ring makes for the perfect engagement ring and its clean outline enables a wedding band to be worn alongside it perfectly!
