The Pelham cheekpiece combines the action of a snaffle and a double bridle. The bit has one mouthpiece but can be ridden with either one or two reins. When ridden with one rein, pelham roundings are required to connect the bit rings to the shanks. The Pelham is a leverage bit: the longer the shanks, the stronger the effect. The Baby Pelham has shorter shanks and therefore provides a milder action than a standard Pelham. A Pelham bit is mainly used for strong horses, horses with limited space in the mouth for two mouthpieces, or horses transitioning to a double bridle. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made from elastic synthetic material and are highly flexible, making the bit very horse-friendly. Despite the flexibility, the Inno Sense Flexi Soft bit remains very solid thanks to its flexible stainless steel core.

Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses but are particularly suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The synthetic material used is FDA-approved, meaning it is non-toxic and free from plasticizers. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece easily follow the rider’s hand and readily accept the bit. The Inno Sense Flexi Soft is less suitable for very strong horses.
